Utah poison control center reminds everyone not to take poison (#11)
A new viral trend sparks concern after many teens die from eating Tide Pods. Viral trends involving eating something you shouldn’t isn’t a new thing. A few years ago, the “Cinnamon Challenge” was popular all over YouTube. The idea was simple, eat a big spoonful of cinnamon. Today the “Tide Pod Challenge” has taken its place. Though there were dangers with eating that much cinnamon, the “Tide Pod Challenge” raises more concern because Tide Pods are poison for the human body. The challenge got popular after a meme went around about how tide pods are the “forbidden snack”. Some teens took this joke a little too far and decided to try the forbidden snack. The Utah poison control is reminding everyone that Tide Pods are poison and that they should not be eaten.

Yet when tested on humans the opposite happens, your symptoms worsen. These scientists have remade the medicine many times and each new formula works on rats but not humans. In their 6 attempts to test on humans only one survived the medicine but that was after many weeks in the hospital.

Students Cook and Serve Grandparents (#30)
Nashville Police were called to a gruesome scene last Monday night after a call came in from a neighbor noticing a foul smell coming from Sue and David Greshmeier’s home. When police arrived, they found Sue and David brutally murdered. With parts of their bodies found in the oven. Upon further investigation, Police discovered the murders to be Sue and David's own Grandchildren. Police believe that the murder occurred because the grandchildren recently found out they were not included in the wills of their grandparents.

  1. Amanda,
Nice work, these are fun to read. There is still a good deal of extraneous information included in these, and they are too long. The first part of the inverted pyramid should hit you with the facts pertinent to a story and then bridge you to the rest of the story. I know I didn't give you a word limit, and it's totally fine for this assignment; just something to keep in mind in the future.
